On the evening of July 31st, at 5:00 PM, the Sofitel Hotel in BKC, Mumbai, hosted a magnificent “poetry conference” organized by the Indian Securities and Exchange Board, also known as SEBI. The title of the event was “Brother Wow! What to Say?” And indeed, the atmosphere was just as colorful and energetic as the name of the event suggested.
At this literary event, five famous poets from the country captivated the audience with their works. The event’s organizer, Upendra Pandey, managed to coordinate the entire event with such skill that applause could be heard at every line of the poems.
On stage, Arun Jaimini began his performance with some serious and thought-provoking poems. After that, Anil Agarwanshi brought laughter and joy to the entire audience with his humorous and satirical poetry. Finally, Azhar Ikbal filled the atmosphere with his poetry and ghazals.
But the most memorable moment of this evening was when Shambhu Shikhar was presented. His patriotism, youthful enthusiasm, and his writings on social issues earned him repeated applause from the audience. What made Shambhu Shikhar’s performance truly unique was his ability to convey emotions and engage directly with the audience. For this reason, he was honored as the “Best Performer” at this poetry conference.
